Changing My Look For Nth Time During Quarantine: A Product Review on Liese, A Japanese Brand of Hair Color

1:05 AM

On a random quarantined day, I've decided to say "fuck it, l'm gonna change up my look again" and so I went to the salon. Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately, since that made me not spend a thousand pesos on a hair color), the hairdresser talked me out of getting a balayage - that was what I originally wanted. If I wanted to change something drastic, and pay for it, might as well go all out. It was like a go big or go home kind of thing for me. But she said that the ends of my hair are way too damaged to get them bleached (you know, to get that perfect balayage effect). So I went home, kind of relieved that I didn't have to spend so much to get my hair done. I am indeed such a cheapskate.

The next day, I went to a local Watsons store I got myself this.
It's a Japanese brand, and is actually the no. 1 hair color product in Singapore. (Yes, I've made research haha)

The thought process of me getting this hair color was just that I wanted my hair to be lighter but with no bleaching, since I didn't want to damage my hair any further. This was the one hair color of the same brand on the shelf that was the lightest. The product design was admittedly enticing, and honestly, it's made me trust the product, too. So I guess, branding and design is everything.

On a side note, I did color my hair with a Revlon product, but it stings like hell, so I didn't want to go through all that agony again.

Application instruction are on the box so it's best you go check them out yourself.

Review:
Let me begin by rating this product a 10 out of 10. It's definitely going to be my go-to hair color brand now. You know, unless, I decide again on getting a balayage.

For the price of 449.00, it's definitely more than worth it. First of all, it doesn't sting so much. It's super easy to apply, and it gives off the best freakin' results.

See photo below for reference.
I swear to God, this is not just the filter.
Although it kind of looks uneven, and it is, especially on the side parts of my hair because I had an awful mistake of not thoroughly covering that area, but the results was still one I can manage to look at, and be proud of (ish).

Overall, I'm very satisfied with how it turned out.

So if you're anything like me, who just wants to change up her style for just a little bit, even if we're still in quarantine, go grab this product now and try it for yourself.

I'm definitely owning this look, I must say.
