Arty Enough?

Have you ever just look at pins on Pinterest and say to yourself "Wow! That's nice and pretty doable"? And so you started making them. Well, if you didn't, I did.

So I saw this on Pinterest.

And I just thought to myself, that's pretty easy. So I went out of my laziness and bought me a year-old magazine which only costs P30 in a nearby thrift bookstore. I could've scoured for a little longer and look for a much cheaper one, but I was quite in a hurry. You see, why would I spend more than a hundred pesos for a magazine that I'll only be shredding in minutes. Seems pretty impractical, don't you agree?

So to make this arty thing, you'll need:
  • A magazine
  • A notebook or a paper
  • Glue
  • Scissors
  • A trash bin - doing a lot of cutting will leave you with tiny bits of cuts that will just untidy your entire room
  • Most importantly, your creative mind ;)
Here's how:
  1. Begin by tearing a page of magazine. Choose a page that has a great color palette.
  2. Fold the page an inch thick. Do it as many times until you've shredded the entire page
  3. Cut the shredded pieces into triangles.
  4. Paste the triangles on to your notebook/page.
  5. Form the pieces together in to whatever shapes you want it.
Note: The triangles do not have to be perfect. You just gotta put the pieces together as if they're cohesive.

Now for the results:
This is the first one, I made at 1 in the morning today. My mind, my body, my soul just works productively at this hour. I know it's unhealthy. I'm being betrayed by my self.

So this next one I made this afternoon, just before I started photographing it like a million times. It's pink. It's in memory of my favorite color as a child, Pink. I'm girly like that. Yet I still think it's my favorite color. I don't know. I'm more inclined to buying anything white or black now.
