OOTD: Of Whites and Plaids
4:44 PMHaven't really posted any OOTD entries here on my blog so I decided, in the spirit of Christmas (and my hangover from last night's drinking sesh with my cousins and neighbors), that I will make my first and last OOTD blog entry for the year. I know that was total nonsense but I felt the need to insert that information somewhere 😂
It was just my luck one day when my brother was in the mood to do a photoshoot during our usual mall run. Before this new normal, we used to go out on weekends and just dine out, do some window shopping (or some shopping, if we both have the luxury of cash to do so)
So for this casual outfit, I decided to put on all my basic clothes together and thought of something that I can also wear in the office (if I'm feeling a little daring, considering I paired my white chiffon button down shirt with a plaid croptop)
Personally, I think owning a white button down is a must for every working girl. It's such a versatile clothing. You can wear it anywhere, anytime and you'd still look put-together.
THE OUTFIT ENSEMBLE
White button-down with breast pockets from one of the clothing stalls in Parkmall. I've had this blouse for years already and I must say it's really such a closet staple. Whenever I feel like going out but I'm a little too lazy to dress up but at the same time, want to look good. I just grab this and I'm good.
Plaid croptop from Penshoppe. This is actually one size too large for me but this was on sale and was the only one left on the rack so I decided to just go for it. And yes, I buy on sale items if I like it even if it's size is twice larger than my actual size. I can always alter it. I'm not the best seamstress but I try.
Black denim skirt from Forever 21. Also got this on sale. Denims are also such a closet staple. You can also pair it with a good quality cropped top. Like this one below.
Just an FYI, that one is actually my current fave cropped shirt. Bought that one from Shein for less than 200php
Anyway, for more styling tips, Google is always open. JK. I don't think I give the best fashion advice since I only try to put on outfits inspired from Pinterest. Yes, I have to thank Pinterest for my slightly upgraded sense of fashion.
Maybe next time, I'll do an outfit post on what I'll wear during a date night.
Speaking of date nights, I also made a podcast episode about my dating app experience. Go check out my podcast in Spotify at That Bisaya Podcast Chick. Haha I really made a way to subtlely promote my podcast 😂
